- Philip Mannering is a boy who is still young enough to enjoy children's books. He loves reading and writing, and has an ambitious hope, that when one day if he'll grow up, he will become a published author with hopefully a bestseller to his name. He acknowledges, however, that it isn't all easy - for that one has to have practice.
